NOTES THAT FLOAT: ARVO PÄRT

Lizzie Ball & Sheffield Music Hub Strings, Upper Chapel, 7:30-8:00
Enter a dream of minimalist beauty; a meditative experience of light, sound and space

Derbyshire-born violinist Lizzie Ball (who has collaborated with Nigel Kennedy, Brian Wilson and Jeff Beck) is accompanied by cellos - but from where? Carefully, gently, the air of the Upper Chapel is filled by the warming strains of Fratres, from celebrated minimalist composer Arvo Pärt. Sheffield Music Hub enables children from all backgrounds to access music education.
